Shards of glass

In a world where words can cut and pierce the soul,

He aimed his shards of glass, his only goal.

To uncover the darkness that lay deep within,

He sought to reveal her grave and hidden sin.

With profane thoughts and suspicions in his mind,

He used his words recklessly, so unkind.

Horrid actions, nightmares, and ugly fears,

He believed her past held secrets, crystal clear.

A plan well-orchestrated, his friends in tow,

To extract the truth, buried deep below.

Harassment and torment tainted his own name,

She never expected such words, such shame.

Once, she saw him as a heavenly guide,

To help her through the darkness, side by side.

But now, the worst of him was all she knew,

Still, she pretended his intentions were true.

Chances after chances, she extended her hand,

But he didn't stop, he continued to demand.

Joined by her foes, his allies in disguise,

He thought he was a hero, unveiling her lies.

But she saw through his facade, his hidden goal,

To destroy her image, to take its toll.

He punished and insulted, every day anew,

Silently, she endured, knowing his words were untrue.

What else could she do, but leave it in fate's hands,

Her heavenly friends created a fortress, where she stands.

Surrounded by love and sanity divine,

She held their hands, her allies so fine.

Leaving behind the battlefield, they soared high,

Leaving behind a legacy of kindness, oh so spry.

While he remained trapped in his own web of deceit,

Realizing the damage he caused, feeling defeat.

He prayed for forgiveness, but it didn't suffice,

She had risen above, in a realm of paradise.

Now, he longed for her to pray for their strife,

To build bridges, to mend what he broke in their life.

But she, far beyond his reach, in grace embraced,

Knew it all, and left it to the universe's embrace.

For she had found solace in compassion's reign,

And his words, like shards of glass, were in vain.
