entry picture

As India embarks its 75th year of Republic Day,

We celebrate with pride, in every possible way.

With beautiful themes of developed India,

And democracy - India's valuable property insignia.

The Republic Day Parade at Rajpath,

A sight to behold, as the nation celebrates.

On 26th January, with joy and zeal,

We honor the day that's truly ideal.

This year, it's women-centric, a tribute to our women,

Empowering them in all fields, their achievements to summon.

For their glory and achievements, we pay our respects,

To the women of India, for their countless conquests.

It all began on 26th January, 1950,

A day that made India's destiny mighty

The Constitution in effect, replacing the old rule,

Turning the nation into a republic, that was once a dominion's misrule.

The Drafting Committee, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar,

With his brilliance and foresight, India's future would prosper.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the Indian Union,

Under the new Constitution, the Parliament's formation would soon come to fruition.

The main celebration in Delhi, at the Rajpath grand,

With the President of India, taking the stand.

Parades and ceremonies, a tribute to diversity,

A glimpse of India's culture, for all to see.

On the eve of Republic Day, the President speaks,

A reminder of our glorious past, and the heroes we seek.

For in their making, lies the essence of this day,

A day that holds reverence, in every Indian's heart on display.

So let's celebrate the 75th Republic Day with pride,

Pledging our devotion, for our nation's ride.

We wish the people of India, a joyous celebration,

For our beloved country, the land of countless aspirations.

Explanation of the above poem

As the sun rises on the 26th of January, casting its golden rays across the horizon, the air is filled with anticipation and excitement. The 75th Republic Day of India is upon us, and the nation is abuzz with activity. The capital city of Delhi, dressed in its finest colors, awaits the grand parade that will take place at Rajpath. The red and saffron of the national flag flutter proudly in the breeze, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of the nation.

The Republic Day parade, a testament to India's rich cultural heritage and military might, is a spectacle to behold. The marching contingents, with their immaculate uniforms and precise drills, pay homage to the valiant soldiers who have fought for the country's freedom. The state-of-the-art weaponry and military hardware on display showcase India's growing strength and technological prowess.

But it's not just about the pomp and pageantry. This year's parade is women-centric, celebrating the indomitable spirit of Indian women who have contributed immensely to the nation's progress. From education and entrepreneurship to sports and space exploration, women have shattered glass ceilings and defied odds to achieve great heights. Their stories of courage and resilience inspire not just the women of India, but the entire nation.

The parade culminates with the unfurling of the national flag by the President of India, followed by the national anthem. As the notes of Jana Gana Mana fill the air, the crowd breaks into a rapturous rendition, their voices joined in unity and patriotism. It is a moment that leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all those present, reminding them of the incredible journey that India has undertaken since the day it became a republic, free from the shackles of colonial rule.

As the sun begins to set, the sky paints a breathtaking canvas of red, white, and blue, mirroring the emotions of the day. The sounds of firecrackers fill the air, signaling the start of celebrations in every corner of the country. Families and friends gather around, sharing stories of valor and bravery, of sacrifice and determination. They feast on traditional delicacies, dance to the tunes of patriotic songs, and watch the television broadcasts of the parade, reliving the glory of the day.

The 75th Republic Day is more than just a celebration of a milestone in India's history. It is a reminder of the hard work, the sacrifices, and the unwavering courage that have gone into building this great nation. It is a tribute to the visionaries who drafted the Constitution, the freedom fighters who laid down their lives, and the ordinary citizens who continue to work tirelessly to make India a better place. As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us pledge to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution, to protect the integrity of our nation, and to build a brighter future for generations to come.

Long live the Republic of India!
