Desire

entry picture

I walk this night,

On the shore,

Listening to the sound

Of the low tide,

Asking for more.

And in a moment,

I hear the high tide;

The enormous roar,

Providing me with

Something more.

I am reminded of you,

Of what you know,

And what you knew,

And your fear of

Starting new.

I am distant,

But my love isn’t,

I am with you,

Beside you, near you,

I attentively hear you.

And so,

I don’t want you

To stop or hesitate

To ask anything

That you require;

I will always

Provide you with

A lot more than

What you

Desire.

This poem is lovely in its solitude. Night strolls on a beach with a full moon is a perfect setting for revelations of love. Really enjoyed it.

you are a poet. you must know that your might is unlike the tides.

you will be deceived and deceiver.

AND YOU WILL LOVE IT

A very beautiful, evocative poem, Manish! I really enjoyed the way the first stanza sets the stage for the rest of the poem, and I also loved the lines
"I am distant,
But my love isn't," 🌷😊
