Happy world sleep day,sleep is essential for good health
One of the best pre bedtime activities you can do,
A warm bath will bring sleep to you.
Your body temperature dips at night,
The cool down you experience when out creates a body delight.
Meditation can be a key to falling asleep,
Listen to music,relax and breathe deep.
Activities such as reading,watching t.v. and eating in bed should be banned,
As they condition the brain to associate the bed with being awake firsthand.
Anxiety is an issue that critically keeps us awake,
Create a to-do-list,easing next day thorny issues this will make.
Prioritising healthy sleep habits improves your health overall ,
Enhancing your quality of life and enabling you to stand tall.
If in the night you have to go for a pee,
Avoid bright lights,good advice from me.
Your eyes will be adapted to the dark,
Avoiding distractions ,back to sleep,then up with the lark.
