Misleading assumptions
In the eyes of judgment, she stands broken,
Fractured pieces of a shattered soul,
Betrayal's blade carving deep within,
Her spirit languishing, lifeless and dull.
They assume she waits, for a miracle's touch,
A return of the one who left her behind,
Yet haunted by memories, she's ensnared,
In a web of longing, that refuses to unwind.
Accused of deceit, her success dismissed,
As if validation from them holds any worth,
Labeled a liar, for daring to strive,
To shine brighter than the shadows of her birth.
Alone she stands, amidst a crowd of doubt,
Questioning if they were ever truly together,
Lost in fragments of an incomplete tale,
An unfinished portrait, a love untethered.
They speculate, she strives to reclaim,
A love long lost, through any means at hand,
Blind to the truth, that it may be the reverse,
Her actions misconstrued, by their misguided demand.
They think they know her, inside and out,
Yet their thoughts are but a maze of their own design,
Misled by emotions, clouded by bias,
She remains a mystery, beyond their narrow line.
In their quest to unravel her mysteries,
They overlook the truth that lies within,
For she is more than their assumptions,
A soul untamed, a spirit unbroken, in the end.
