DAWNLIGHT
The dawn creeps in,
yet I'm lost in night,
Where dreams are shackles,
holding tight.
The world awakens,
yet here I lie,
In shadows deep,
where my hopes sigh.
The sun's warm promise feels so remote,
In this silent room,
where sorrows float.
A mountain steep,
each task, each chore,
Through fog and fear,
what am I waking for?
Yet, I stir, with a whisper thin,
Seeking light, where darkness has been.
In the smallest steps,
hope’s ember glows,
Guiding me where no one knows.
