When the flittering Lark

climbs into the blue

from his thermal stage

sends his songs cascading through

each days air for our delight

to please the heart and pleasure the sight

I don't suppose he realises although

his songs are just one of natures prizes

what effect he has on the listeners ear

and how close his year round repetoire

to the human soul draws near
