Spaceminded

entry picture

I’ve drifted in space,

In endless, boundless darkness,

Escaping the allure of evil.

Where sound fades away,

yet voices still whisper,

Silent screams echoing in the cold solitude,

Invisible to all, no matter how present I am,

Like a symphony played in reverse or a piece of art unnoticed,

Where time seems to crawl in slow motion,

Adrift in a single, unchanging direction,

A cosmic being destined to roam the vast expanse for eternity.

The mask I wear keeps me alive, hiding my weary face from sleepless nights,

Shielding me from reality as I journey with a ticket to the moon.

I long to see the sun once more,

For I am nothing but a mental astronaut.

I like the idea of this poem, and particularly the last two lines,
"I long to see the sun once more,
For I am nothing but a mental astronaut."
Keep writing, Oscar Fadlala!💪
