Looking over the terms of my surrender 

I can’t help but feel the Germans were treated better 

 

you’ve got me down to my last dollar

 making me swear I’ll love you forever 

 

I’m reading paragraph seven 

where you maintain I must obey your every decision 

 

there’s an asterisk attached to that section 

that defines “enthusiastic submission” 

 

I’ve read the third page twice 

where it clarifies that you “don’t do nice” 

 

that you take nightly baths of ice 

and I must keep your body well-lathered 

 

the section on transportation 

mentions in the absence of stallions 

 

I’m expected to stand in at that moment 

on the route from the bath to the kitchen 

 

As I’m filling with revulsion 

a higher part of me demands completion 

 

and we all win in this ballet 

of one fluid motion
