Holding Happiness
I'd love to hold happiness
And then I'd wish for it to stay,
But just like water in my hands,
It always dwindles away.
I'd love to pick happiness
Like many a beautiful flower.
Then I would put them in a vase,
If I could only have the power.
I'd love to bottle happiness
And maybe save it for later.
Though my hopes are so big and many
That they could easily fill a crater.
I'd love to nurture happiness
And take none of them for granted,
Then I'd accept all of the fruits
Of what had first been planted.

Is happiness contentment......?
