Saving spiders

I never kill spiders, I never did,

That's probably because I used to keep tarantulas as kid,

I know that most are afraid of my darling arachnids,

To murder nature's gifts is certainly wicked.

How might you ask can I make this a writing? after all my spiders are considered very frightening,

What scares me most is ghosts and lightning as well as poor innocent spiders unreservedly dying.

Acting differently, they are not considered prey, I will always ask politely for them to get out of the way,

Look after the spiders is what I really want to say.

To the money spider I whisper "Please bring me fortune"

To the house spider I say "you can stay in my room"

I request "please help me keep the flies at bay" it's only her dinner at the end of the day.

The folks that crush them under foot I utterly dispise,

They kill my darling spiders because of 8 legs and 6 eyes,

Just know that your being is not much of a prize,

Entangled in the web of your own fragile lives.

I suppose my view being brought up in the UK the spiders here pose less "threatening" behaviour. Still all creatures deserve a chance at survival which is the very nature of their "threatening" behaviour.

Thank you for reading another one 😊

Spiders are part of the chain of numerous earthly existences
and have their place. They help keep the balance of a healthy natural world. It is only when they become immediately
"threatening" that there is a reason to see removal/disposal.
A glass tumbler and a piece of stiff cardboard are useful aids
to the safe performance of this action.
