Mummy Tomorrow Will Be Better

Mummy Tomorrow Will Be Better.

The little girl is woken up by the sound of her mother's cry, sadly the little girl doesn't need to ask she knows why.

She creeps down the stairs and walks to the kitchen door, where she sees her mother slumped against the cupboard on the floor.

The mother beckons the little girl into her arms and holds her so tight, the little girl asks mummy are you going to be alright.

She replies I will be OK and then they both start to cry, the little girl tries to wipe the tears from her Mummy's eyes.

As she moves the hair on her head she sees the bruises on her face, for Mummy and the little girl the world is a horrible place.

Mummy kisses the little girl tenderly on the head and said i will be okay darling you need to go back to bed.

The little girl said Mummy can I sleep with you tonight; she hugged her even tighter and said just for a little while.

They picked themselves up off the floor and made their way up the stairs, the little girl says to her Mummy you will be safe now I'm here.

They snuggle up tight under the quilt and hold each other close, what there future holds for them, neither of them really knows.

The little girl tells her Mummy I will love you forever, then closed her eyes and prayed, that for mummy tomorrow will be a better day.
