Coping with grief

Your emotions might rise and fall,

Twist and turn with coping with it all.

The pain following the loss of a loved one can be immense,

The concentration dealing with the loss of a loved one intense.

Each heart grieves differently when a loved one does die,

Some might lessen their grief by having a good cry.

Accept support from family and friends according to your needs,

Excercise, watch your diet, join the library and borrow positive reads.

Some bereaved try to ease their emotions through drugs and drink,

Such an escape is self destructive, try harmless ways, have a think.

Balance your time and your future will enhance,

A time to weep,a time to laugh and a time to dance.

As soon as possible resume a normal routine,

Making early big brain decisions must not be seen.

Remember the happy days of old,

Let pleasant pictures of the past unfold.

There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving .

Supporting and comforting others can bring joy when grieving.

Excellent advice as ever Hugh.
However, as for joining a library- many will be lucky to find one after about twenty years of austerity!
