Unspoken Words
There were a few words left unspoken,
The lawn with uneven grass
And a window with cracked glass
Was fixed to spotless perfection,
Moody lights for the night
Were given undisturbed connection,
Crotchets were rewritten,
Wardrobe was diversified,
And a long-lost-friend
Was dialed again,
A break in chain
To lay down the butterfly effect
Hinting a probable mayhem.
In procurement of zen,
Room for opinionated people
Were no more open,
Restriction of pills on table
Meant that the heart and mind
Were very much alive and able,
Habits anew, passion the same,
Metamorphosed music playlist
To keep the forthcoming days sane.
In the midst of the reminders of
Something that was still incomplete,
Chores were chosen to keep busy;
Racks were dusted, shelves were
Re-adjusted, new books, torn jeans,
A couple of entrepreneurial magazines,
The doors were all bolted,
Some windows were closed,
Curtains intentionally dyed beige,
Pages of melancholy were protected
In a frequently used drawer
That was left slightly open,
An ink filled, remarkable pen
Unused to it's full potential
Knew it in it's blues
That a ruthless decision
Was unthinkably taken,
And a few impactful words
Were left unspoken...
