Friendship
A friend so dear, yet eyes so cold
Jealousy creeps, young and old
They smile with you, but seethe inside
As your success their heart cannot hide
Their words, a knife, sharp and sly
Cutting deep, with a jealous sigh
They question your every move
With envy's sting, they can't improve
Their heart, a flame, that burns with spite
As they watch you shine, with all your light
They seek to dim, your radiant glow
With whispers dark, and a jealous grow
But still you rise, above their pain
And shine so bright, like the morning rain
For true friends cheer, with a loving heart
Not torn apart, by jealousy's dark art
So let their envy, be their own weight
As you soar high, with a heart that creates
For in the end, love and kindness reign
And jealous friends, will forever remain in pain.
