Over-Thinking
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
Complex minds unravel, night and day,
Multiple demons, in darkness reside,
Co-occurring disorders, side by side.
Unstable relationships, like shifting sand,
Erode trust, and leave a withered hand,
Erratic behavior, like a stormy sea,
Tosses lives, in turmoil, helplessly.
Moods swing, like a pendulum's sway,
From despair to rage, in disarray,
Delusions creep, like thieves in the night,
Hallucinations whisper, a haunting light.
Suicidal thoughts, a constant refrain,
Echoes of pain, a heart in vain,
Disordered eating, a fragile hold,
Substance abuse, a destructive gold.
Fear of abandonment, a gnawing fear,
Uncertain identity, a shattered mirror,
Impulsive behaviors, a self-destructive drive,
A complex web, where hope dare not thrive.
In this dark labyrinth, souls are lost,
Tangled in threads, of forever-crossed,
Wires of sanity, snapped and frayed,
A fragile existence, in disarray.
