Aliens

Our imagination's canvas, for alien life, so small
Constricted by our own experiences, we bound them to our wall
We picture civilizations, with technology's might
Similar to ours, a reflection, without a different light

We assume they'd communicate, in ways we understand
With signals and messages, in our own language's hand
But what if they're entirely different, in form and in thought?
Beyond our comprehension, like a puzzle, we've not been taught

Our searches for extraterrestrial life, a narcissistic quest
Seeking answers, in our own image, we put to the test
Radio waves and laser pulses, a language we design
But what if they're silent, or communicate in ways divine?

The Dyson sphere, a concept, born of human need
A megastructure, to harness energy, indeed
But what if aliens don't require, such vast arrays?
What if their energy sources, are beyond our earthly ways?

Let's expand our imagination, and consider the unknown
Alien life, in forms, beyond our earthly home
In the vast expanse of space, diversity awaits
A cosmic tapestry, with threads, beyond our earthly states.
