Animal Cruelty
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A sinister truth comes to slay,
Cruelty's dark stain, a moral decay,
Betraying trust, in a world gone astray.
Innocent hearts, with pain do ache,
Sentient souls, for mercy's sake,
Neglect, abuse, exploitation's might,
Leaves scars that time cannot erase in the night.
Industrial farms, where profit's the goal,
Animals suffer, their welfare, a distant role,
Wildlife trafficking, a brutal, cruel fate,
Testing's horrors, an unbearable weight.
Psychological wounds, physical pain,
Enduring scars, a collective stain,
Empathy and compassion, lost in the haze,
A world that fails, in its moral daze.
Urgent action, a beacon of light,
Stricter laws, education, a guiding sight,
Advocacy's voice, a cry in the dark,
For a world where animals, their dignity embark.
But till then, the suffering continues,
A tragic tale, of cruel, heartless Muse,
A painful reminder, of our moral flaw,
A sadistic truth, that we cannot ignore or pause.
Oh, the agony, the anguish, the tears,
The silent screams, through all the years,
A sarcastic jest, of humanity's claim,
To be civilized, while inflicting such pain.
But still we hope, for a brighter day,
When animals, their rights, will have their say,
Respected, protected, with dignity intact,
A world where compassion, will forever attract.
Here's a sarcastic, metaphorical, critical, and intense poem:
