"Rights" are a human invention, offered and negotiated via
agreed terms of reference to common benefit. When it seems
that they are abused or given credence beyond their original;
meaning and intent, they can become a cause for concern and
a cause for renewed negotiations. Nothing is fixed in this life
of ours. The basic rights to life, freedom under the law and the pursuit of happiness seem simple enough, but how easily they
can be manipulated by the opportunistic controllers among us
in the human race who always seek to obtain advantage.
