Monsoon's Messy Kiss
In monsoon's messy kiss, my heart's afloat,
Turmoil's tantrum raging, soul's wild note.
Love's flickering flame, a dampened spark,
Hope's last match struggling, in the storm's dark.
Longing's lunatic cries, "Where's my mate?"
Devotion's desperate prayer, "Don't be late!"
Pain's sharp tongue lashes, memories that sting,
Joy's brief whisper, "Don't forget to cling!"
Tears rain down, regret's soggy, heavy chains,
Binding me to shattered dreams' sharp pains.
The past's pesky ghosts rise, a haunting refrain,
"Lost love's a bummer, dude, what's your gain?"
Yet, amidst turmoil, I find love's sharp bite,
A heart, though scarred, still beats with delight.
