Voices For The Just
The tide is rising with corrosive lies,
Where ignorance and rage entwine in dark disguise.
Unmoored from truth, they shout and blind the mind,
And reason, silenced, falters, left behind.
Young hearts, unshielded, gripped by twisted creed,
Through platforms pulsing with a poisoned feed,
Fall prey to rhetoric of scorn and spite,
As venom fills the streams and taints the night.
They promise strength, a world that’s “pure and true,”
And prey on those who fear what’s fresh or new.
The easy scapegoats—those who aren’t the same—
Are fed to fires fanned by hate’s own flame.
The agitators, with their gleaming lies,
Decry the learned and deride the wise.
They sell “alternative” as if it’s right,
And spin in shadows, hidden from the light.
Now truth is twisted, morals tossed aside,
And with each lie, the silent fractures slide.
Dividing kin, deceiving friends from foes,
They build a brittle world that overthrows.
This is my plea: arise, defend the just!
To turn our backs now would betray our trust.
Democracy must stand or it will fall,
Its fragile heart, its hope, depends on all.
Stand firm with those who seek the greater good,
Reject the waves of hate that flood our 'hood*.
For if we fail, the vultures soon will come,
And justice, like a bell, will be left dumb.
So question loudly, fiercely guard the gate—
Let voices rise and challenge, not placate.
In every heart, let vigilance take root,
For truth, for reason, for the just pursuit.
Ours is the task to strive, endure, resist,
To fight the currents that would turn and twist
The ideals born of freedom, bright and brave—
For democracy is worth the fight to save.
