A New Place
I’ve travelled all other, and seen many faces.
I’ve seen the world, its many splendid places.
But now I look in the mirror and what do I see?
I see a sad looking man staring back at me.
To find happiness, a new place I need to find.
And leave all my troubles and cares, far behind.
Some place from the darkness, were I can hide.
An ocean or sea were ships can sail with pride.
The world right now is losing most of its appeal.
Torment and loneliness are the emotions I feel.
The hunger and passion for life, I feel have gone.
So, I desperately need a new place to carry on.
But when you are struggling, the world is small.
And closing in on me, I see many a brick wall.
You might never understand it’s so hard to explain.
But my search for a new place has ended in vain.
RIP Stuart Adamsom of Big Country fame, who sadly took his own life in 2001 aged just 42.
