Bluebell Girl
Bluebell girl, standing alone and pale in the sun.
Standing at the roadside, she holds out her thumb.
A car driver soon pulls over right up to her side.
Then he takes the Bluebell girl on a familiar ride.
The driver talks, but the girl can only softly weep.
Because the Bluebell girl she has a secret to keep.
Many years ago, she died near the top of a hill.
Killed on the Bluebell Road, but she walks there still.
Many drivers have taken her ‘home’ the story goes.
To a forever locked cemetery, where a cold wind blows.
(A much verified and sad ghost story from Huyon in Liverpool)
