Wake Up America! The Price of Ignorance Is Too High!
They think they own the ballots, own the game,
With fortunes vast, they bend the rules—no shame.
There stands Musk, the madman with his cash,
To buy his way through any law he’ll crash.
They push for laws to block the common voice,
Through Voter ID, stripping people's choice.
For every road they say will “guard” the polls,
They build another wall to close the rolls.
Musk claims IDs will halt the “fraud” he fears,
But it’s just a ploy to stoke unfounded fears.
In truth, they aim to shrink democracy’s might,
And keep the vote confined to those they “rightly” cite.
Musk thinks his dollars change what’s wrong to right,
Peddling “truths” to fog our clearest sight.
With every post, a new concocted claim,
Embarrassing and empty, yet without blame.
This Musk, who prattles loudly from his stage,
A child with wealth, unchecked in boundless rage,
Sows seeds of doubt in minds both worn and weak;
To hear his nonsense, chaos is what they seek.
He buys the platforms, plants the seeds of fear,
Distorts the news, keeps messages unclear.
For those worn down, dismissed, or led astray,
His tricks carve out beliefs in subtle play.
Trump and Musk, two heads—one twisted beast,
As if, by fate, such figures are released
To weave together power, wealth, and spite,
Their aims so clear, yet hidden from plain sight.
Musk’s gestures, smirks, the sneers, the practiced boast,
Remind us of the man who boasts the most,
Who once, in power, sowed dissent with pride—
A “leader” who let truth itself divide.
Wake up, America, November's here,
These brazen charades cost us all so dear.
To think wealth equals virtue—plain absurd!
Let reason’s voice, not riches, be the word.
Beware the ones who buy the story’s end,
And shape the tale their twisted truths portend.
In ballots, booths, let clear minds see the light,
For this great land depends on seeing right.

A fine and timely poem, Ralph. I've noticed that the Trump crowd, as well as suppressing voters' rights, have now started to get their conspiracy theories in before the election has taken place. These child-men seem to think they can buy the result and, if they can't, there must be fraud.
Well done on this serious piece of work.
