The Biggest Loser Ever!

In a world where success seems reserved for the cunning and the ruthless, I am the world’s biggest loser—the one who rises each morning, goes to work, and takes pride in self-reliance, while many take the easy route, relying on welfare or cutting corners. I shoulder my responsibilities, pay my bills, meet every expectation, and treat others with respect, only to watch those who ignore these values climb effortlessly. While they dodge obligations and live off the efforts of others, my own virtues feel like weights that hold me back. This is a raw, unfiltered reflection on what it means to do everything “right” in a world that rewards everything wrong.

I rise each day to face the daily grind,

I play by rules, and keep a steady mind.

I work, I pay my dues, and do what’s asked of me,

I greet each face with calm civility.

No lies that harm, no schemes to bring me gain;

A white lie now and then—yet free of stain.

But others soar with ease, by tricks and pride,

While I, by duty bound, am cast aside.

I watch them scale the heights with naught to show,

Leaving debts unpaid for others far below.

They laugh at laws, let others foot the bill,

They ask for more, then live upon goodwill.

Is this the price for walking straight and true?

To bear the weight for those who never do?

Where did I turn to end on such a path,

While those who stray draw fortune’s easy laugh?

I chose a road of decency and care,

Yet found no wealth or comfort waiting there.

To see such gain from selfishness and lies—

It stings, the cost of honour’s thin disguise.

The biggest loser ever, so it seems,

While those who cheat find means to chase their dreams.
