Unseen Ice

Are you clearing your good name?

Blowing up all the ammo before setting fire to the barracks as planned?

Who is it that needs to know

Which song

Originated years back?

Me? Him? Her? You?

Who

Of course i knew

I knew already i heard them before i heard all of them

But sure seems bits got tweaked here and over there,

As you might do to cull your former recent romantic endeavors

How did you find me here anyway?

I never use the same name

I know you're clever enough -- thought taken time would be demanded elsewhere

And I fled these lands to make my own place of play

Free to choose any angry word i want to be as mad, hurt as I need

To find a way through this tempest

Mine now, no longer a thought of your take

Sure I was fooled, as foolish will do

Sure I thought in my heart of hearts

We shared common deep truths

About life, and how to live it

 About dreams and destiny

About adventure and how to seize it

About art, and the humanity of a mirror

About love, and how to win the one that’s right

But

I was wrong

Shocks me to my soul it is expected I am to give this up, forsake it all

Yea I mistook words

Meant for another

Ideas resonate regardless

I imagine words as iceberg tips, the part one can see…  always aware there’s probably or possibly mountains of unseen meaning, just below, if one cares to look

You still taunt my dreams, my hopes with deliciousness although you fade wilingly

Don't take my words as irreverence

They’re only words, masking

Or revealing

As courage levels dictate

You are a dog, as you say, the foxy wolf spirit

And you are covering your tracks, I see

Do you see me? Can you?

You did once

But now…

You mistake me for someone I am not, methinks

Perhaps makes it easier for you

To go away in another

But see me

        See me very well

I am not the face of my father

I just love

I write the fuy because I cannot force my me to unlove you and that is righteous anger

I’m just glad you got your hat back unharmed from the wreckin’ ball, it’s a great hat

My good name is clear
