Brimming with hope

The road to my destiny,
a winding path,
filled with shadows and stones,
thorns tugging at my sides.
But then,
a bright sun rose,
its warm embrace
chasing the darkness away.

The storms that rattled my spirit
quieted at last,
the waves that crashed around me
stilled,
leaving only the whisper
of my own breath,
steady,
like a heartbeat in the stillness.

I climbed that steep hill,
each step heavy in the climb,
yet at the top, I found
views that stretched beyond the horizon,
a landscape rich with promise,
vivid and alive.

With God’s armor wrapped around me,
I faced fears,
a shield against whispers of doubt,
and with a divine army at my back,
I shattered their plans,
clean like glass.

Here I stand, proud,
waving my flag of love,
a bond sturdy as the mountains,
a friendship that will not bend,
starting my happily ever after,
together in the sunlight.

I’m here, I’m here,
right where we left off,
with nothing broken
that can’t be mended,
strong with divine strength,
we rise together,
ready for what comes next.
