End of Shift (A Christmas Tragedy)
Tears
Trickled
Down her cheeks
At the sight of
The empty stocking,
The house, unvisited.
While, next door, Father Christmas
Looked at his watch, zipped up his bag
And roared home for breakfast in his Jag.
