UK Winter Has Arrived (1/12/24)

entry picture

Welcome to December, autumn’s blown away.

In meteorological season’s, winter starts today!

I wonder what kind of UK winter lies ahead?

A season that divides opinion, it has to be said!

I’m definitely a ‘winter person’ I’ll let you know.

Winter cuddles on a chilly night, I love them so!

Sunbathing on a scorched beach, that’s not me.

All bundled up in winter, that’s my cup of tea!

A beautiful sight is the view of a winter sunrise.

The stars shine bright through clear winter skies.

Thiers’s a calm about winter, the noise is less.

A noisy, hectic simmer day, causes me stress!

Shorter days, longer nights that’s the way to go.

That childlike feeling of waking up to snow!

I admire the resilience of trees, cold and bare.

And for Alba and Nola, there is magic in the air!

I love the unique perfection of a snowflake design.

Snowflakes are the classic symbol of winter time.

So there you have it, my few reasons to tell.

I now welcome December, and this winter spell!

(Alba and Nola are my Granddaughter's...I love autumn, winter and spring for differnt reasons, but I'm not a fan of summer, never have been, just means restless nights and hay fever to me!)

Thanks Mike.
I suppose it's a time when the most basic human needs matter -and are appreciated? - most; food, shelter, warmth and companionship.
