With conscience and pain we see our world enmeshed

in deep  incomprehension and confusion,

filled with injustice,

fanaticism,

sadness,

greed,

unbridled ambition,

and indifference

 

We cry out for transformation,

pray for change,

our hope is that there will be a change

leaving everything behind,

but never forgetting the cruelty we've inflicted upon ourselves,

driven by hatred and the desire to destroy

We must weave a new world with colorful

indestructible threads of compassion,

solidarity, love and justice

 

Let us be the weavers of this new humanity,

and raise it to the highest level of feeling;

different from the inhumanity of the present

If we can dream it, we can weave it
