Yellow Stripes

entry picture

Once an untouched land;

An undisturbed beauty of sand,

Was wrapped in swathes of

Yellow marked stripes

Indicating ownership and sale

And undisputed scale.

Bricks supported by scaffolds,

Molten metal poured in the moulds,

Before the arrival of winter

And the first wave of cold,

There was a tint of gold

That the builders could behold.

And under the veil of illuminating,

Artificial set of captivating lights

Beautified at the call of the night,

A new structured town unravelled,

Where the dreamful minds whispered

About a new Gulliver's travels.
