Limerick for 2025 [no.2 Sir Khan Can!]
Congrat’s due to you, Sir Sadiq,
The fascists’ New Year’s looking bleak,
A brown man’s been honoured,
He’s top of his manor.
Who's having a right fit of pique?

I can see the usual suspects spluttering into their...well, who knows what they guzzle now, Uilleam? A good point made here.

Thanks Rolph.
The subject of politics can of course get quite tiresome; but there are are so many colourful characters just dying to have the proverbial taken out of them.😁😁😁😁😁😁

High Uilleam,
As far as I understand your limerick it cleverly highlights Sadiq Khan's achievements and the frustration of those opposed to his rise, using humour and sharp social commentary. It captures the intersection of politics, race, and public recognition, all while maintaining the playful and witty tone characteristic of the limerick form. Well done!😊

Spluttering, Stephen? the Gammons are incandescent with rage.
At the beginning of what was supposed to be an article purporting to be about the tragic stabbing of a fourteen-year-old boy, I’ve just seen an alleged "academic", with a fixation about race, muslims and immigration, shoehorn in a reference to the word "immigration", and the phrase "…we are stuck with an awful Muslim Mayor". These people are vile.
