A PATHLESS JOURNEY

entry picture

Wherever the wind may lead,

That's where I'll follow, free.

To embrace the wild trees,

And hear the frogs' soft croak,

Becoming an explorer at heart.

Through meadows wide and rivers deep,

Where the sun and shadows softly meet,

I'll chase the dawn and greet the night,

With stars above as guiding light.

No map, no path, just endless skies,

A world unknown before my eyes.

With every step, a story grows,

As the wind whispers where it goes.

Simplicity and sophistication come together here, Naomi. Fine poem.

Thank you Uilleam. I can see the connection to Frost's 'The Road Not Taken,' though I was aiming more for a sense of exploring the unknown without clear paths. And I think simplicity can be surprisingly profound. But, like you, I often find it a challenge to stick to!

This is really beautiful, the rhythm carries it along with mystery and a sense of purpose being guided/determined by nature.

I love this Naomi.
Shades of Frost's 'The Road Not Taken'?
or of one of my pet philosophies: K.I.S.S. 'Keep it simple stupid' (which I seldom keep to!)
