Mayor Mary is up for her latest duty;

There’s news that The Darkbent are coming to town. 

It’s Rageghost the foremost, to scare the children

to terrorize everyone still around. 

 

As evening falls, with the curfew in place. 

The children all safe in their happy homes. 

The citizens now performing their rituals,

to safeguard themselves when the evil comes. 

 

‘Balorahm, please hold my hand’, Mary asks.

‘Together we shall face these evil threats.’

The city patrols are already prepared,

expecting and fearing the worst and the most. 

 

But surely the whole of the village is saved.

Protected by things we don’t yet understand. 

As Rageghost the Darkbent now enters the town. 

He faces The Guard of Enlightened Crown. 

 

‘This too shall pass’, all the women chant.

And all of the houses stand hand-in-hand. 

The guards and patrols now ignite their Device

in a radiant burst of electric Ice. 

 

Rageghost, the phantom, the menace is shocked.

And stares at the power and might at display. 

Balorahm ever enlightened, she says:

‘Today’s not our day, so please go away.’

 

And that’s how Rageghost the Darkbent fled

The Evervillage now saved and sound:

with laughter and music, the future is good. 

And everyone happier than they could.
