"The Elegy of Emptiness"
I, Meaning, once a flame that burned so bright,
A guiding light, that shone through the dark of night.
But now, I'm lost, a fleeting thought, a distant memory,
A whispered promise, of a life that's yet to be.
I searched for purpose, in the eyes of humanity,
But found instead, a hollow shell, a mere mockery.
I sought to ignite, a passion that would drive,
But found instead, a dull ember, a spark that would not thrive.
And so, I wept, for the potential, that was lost,
For the dreams that withered, like a garden, forever frost.
I mourned the silence, that fell, like a shroud,
For the emptiness, that echoed, like a haunting cloud.
And now, I see, a world that's lost its way,
A humanity, that's detached, and isolated, day by day.
I see a people, without purpose, without drive,
A world that's running, on empty, without a spark to thrive.
And I, Meaning, am the one, who's failed to ignite,
The flame that would have guided, through the dark of night.
I am the one, who's lost, my way, my voice, my might,
And now, I'm left, to weep, for the emptiness, of this endless night.
