Tuning Into Love

Okay this is a little complicated

but I think I'm slowly figuring this out.

It's just so counter-intuitive!

But as I sort it out in my heart and mind, it starts making sense.

It starts becoming simple.

It begins to feel powerful.

It feels wonderful.

Here it is.

Jesus said: love your enemies.

How does this help?

How does this move the needle towards prosperity and harmony for all?

Millions and millions of hearts, minds, and souls create the collective consciousness.

Think of the collective consciousness as a living, breathing being.

(After all, it is us, all of us, you, me, and everyone else).

Feed the being fear, and fear grows.

Feed the being love, and love grows.

So, logically, tune into love, all day long.

Release fear, all day long.

This is not an idle exercise.

This is power.

This is creation.

If we tune all the day long into fear, this is what we are feeding into the collective consciousness.

This is what is growing.

So, love your enemies!

I get it.

If we don't, we create exactly what we don't want.

That Jewish dude Jesus was brilliant.

And so I shall try my best to follow his directive.

It is not easy.

But I shall not give up.

I shall try and try and try

until "enemy" becomes "brother, sister"

in my heart, mind, and soul.

And if I die in the trying, so be it.

No worries, I will rise again,

in love.

Yes, I'll probably be dead when/if I ever achieve the state described in this aspirational poem. Tolerance would help (along w/ agree to disagree). History suggests the violence will never stop on this planet. There are those who dream of a new earth where harmony prevails. Since I am elderly, I will likely have to be reincarnated to see that. (But I have already submitted my request to the universe to be sent to a more peaceful planet, lol).

Good luck with that. I think for most of us, loving our enemies is a bit too much of a stress. Small steps, perhaps. Start with do not torture and exterminate and gradually move towards tolerance.
