Reverberating Voice of Resistance

Alexei Navalny stood defiantly against oppression, his voice a relentless force for truth in the face of tyranny. Even in captivity, his courage never wavered, his resolve never bent. Reverberating Voice of Resistance is a tribute to a man who fought until his last breath, today a year ago, a reminder that silence can never bury the echoes of justice.

Barred behind steel, but never confined,
his words tore through silence, unbowed, unblind.
A prisoner only in name, not in soul,
defying the dark with a heart still whole.

They thought that cold could weaken his frame,
that exile in frost would smother the flame.
But truth burns hotter than any decree,
no bars could silence his will to be free.

They stole his breath in a room unseen,
a coward’s act for a crumbling regime.
Yet walls remember, the ground still knows,
where justice was struck, defiance grows.

The fight is not buried with those who fall,
his name still echoes, a rallying call.
One man stood when others kneeled—
a voice of resistance, never repealed.

Hello Stephen - once again you can see how birds of a feather flock together! One criminal flirts with the other and sees how he can take advantage of the other to emerge victorious in the end. Both are degenerate subjects (I wouldn't call them human!) who seek each other out until they sense their chance. It was the same with Stalin and Hitler. Everything comes back, unfortunately!

Beauifully written in perfect rhyming couplets, Rolph. The quality of the verse makes the content more shocking. It's awful to think that Trump is having jolly chats with the man responsible for this brave man's demise.

Each well-thought-out line speaks volumes, put together as you have, leaves nothing else to say.
