The Forest

What is at the root of a poet's tree?

Does it have fertile soil to grow healthy and strong

Are its seasons harse with extreme heat and fridgid cold

Does it see more darkness than light

Or did fate see that it would flourish through a constant kiss of radiation to move it to purpose

To give it the notion to occupy its space to the fullest

Showing its beauty and radiance of its father through its blossoms and fruit

Casting shadows of purpose to have no other be as great if they are to grow under it

What is beauty without resilience through the darkest seasons of  life marked by the scars that have shifted direction of growth, with every motion, a dance upon the earth

"poet's tree" is beautiful imagery. I was not trying for a rhyme. The more I read this, the more I like it.
