Love Shone On Me

entry picture

I was all alone in the pervading dark
As quiet as a dormouse hark
Encased in my protective shell
A happy face I presented as well
A blur of mixed up emotions
My mind clouded by inane notions

Just when I thought I was history
Love shone it's light on me
It was welcome not a mystery
Love Shone it's light on me

You appeared like a sunshine ray
A smile that shone brightly all day
Diamonds sparkled in your eyes
I was instantly smitten no surprise
The future was looking kinda bright
I had finally seen the light

I was resigned to a life of solitude
Then love shone it's light on me
It embraced and lifted my mood
Love shone it's light on me

Memories I am now living with
Grief is painfull it does not forgive
Happy times are a thing of the past
I knew it was too good to last
Maybe I should keep an open mind
The road ahead may embrace and be kind

Love shone its light on me
Maybe it will shine once more
What is meant for you won't pass you by
What does the future have in store
Love shone it's light on me

Love shone its light on me
Maybe it will shine once more
Love shone its light on me
