I’m a Footie Fan

I’M A FOOTIE FAN!

By the Urban Poet

I’m a man, I’m a man

I’m a football fan

everything else you can keep

Football’s what I eat and drink

No need for any sleep

That’s only wasting precious time

For me to tweet about that team of mine

Or watch ‘em on the box with a beer

Don’t ask macho me to drink any wine

I’m very sporting, win, lose or draw

It don’t matter to me if things get a bit raw

In a fight or brawl when we play away

‘Cos I could watch football every day,

If I didn’t have a job to earn some dosh

to go to places like London, “oh very posh”

Now I’m a fair bloke, I don’t hate anyone me

only those that don’t support my team,

yea I like to be heard as well as seen

Until the wife shouts” where the hell ‘av you been?

I love it when we score a goal, I get to kiss and hug people young or old, I’m not so sure they like it done to them, but that’s just tough

it’s because I can.  Why?

‘Cos I’m an unapologetic football fan!
