When a loved one dies

When a loved one dies your pain can seem unending,

A wide range of emotions, sorrow, guilt ,all need mending.

Confronting your thoughts and feelings can be a pain,

Like opening and cleaning an infected wound ,a strain.

The pain is unbearable,I know how you feel,

But it allows the wound with patience gently to heal.

Grief is a heavy burden to carry on your own ,

Sharing your thoughts with others ,a recovery seed is sown.

Enabling  you to move forward through different phases of grief,

Seeing brighter days ahead will bestow upon you relief.

While the void in your heart may not disappear,

Life is still worth living, remembering those you hold dear.
