Unwitnessed

 

A callous thief,

Time stealthily creeps,

Determined not to be observed.

He silently intrudes,

Leaving his indelible mark,

Infecting everything with age.

He never retreats,

Takes no backward step,

Advancing brazenly and uninvited.

Then, at the last breath,

He ceases to exist.
