Moments Before the Leap

You stare at his thumping heart,
It’s rhythm and nervous smile
Sweeps your insecurities aside,
His exceptionally wide arms
Makes you want to be wrapped
But you wait for the
Beautiful beginnings to unravel.

How far could you travel?
How far is he willing to?
All that you once expected
Is all that you now want to be;
There’s an urge to fill up the garden
With all pastel coloured flowers,
And walk in the alley of lovers
Where the wise yell that the end is nigh
But the nice counteract that it’s a lie.

The night mutes all the musings
Except for the strings of heart
That produces a soothing tune
Before the sensations start.

You walk in the alley of love
Ignoring the nigh and lies,
You fall in love with moonlit sky
And the stars never question why.
