World's End
World’s End
She allowed me to melt into her arms,
A blessing gratefully accepted.
I kissed her burnished caramel skin,
Caressed before me by an attentive sun,
Discovering petals in full bloom,
Where a light dew glistened.
My lips consumed the salty-sweet mix,
In glorious intoxication.
My shyness now displaced,
A new boldness burgeoned.
Encouraged by her whispering, warm breath,
We synchronized, without thought, into movement.
Our waltz became a tango, became a quickstep,
Before subsiding into complete surrender.
Waves of content carried us both to sleep,
Where the edge of the world exists.
