Summerland
Go with the Wind said my friends
Rising up and ever on
The pink of morning
The sun brightly shone
Soft warmth gently lends
My feet are free but my mind is not
Following the wispy trail of life
Treading dust in the desert land
Setting sun in the realm of strife
Fate has dealt a steely hand
Vainly hoping my path will lead -
My heart; forever freed
Trailing flowers, their heads bowed low
Trumpets flared; what is this moment
Can this be the time of ebb and flow
Or is it hope, once more rent
Great is the shadow which follows my way
It stays my progress, my life is spent
The light is sparkling on the Rainbow Bridge
It beckons me onwards
It swirls, it encircles me
Held upon the stony ridge
I look down, then up to the rocky lee
One step more and I am home
Oh Love - I welcome Thee
Butterflys and light beams
Colours of Summerland
Tiny flecks of Angel dust
A study of my Dreams
Fairies swiftly fly
Make believe woven in a magical spell
What beauty, oh I sigh!
Shimmering crystal, golden doors
Beaded curtains hiding more
Fountains rise
Sunsets and sea-shores
Pyramids gleaming in a purple sky
A pathway winding
Rose petals fall from unseen hands
Swallows diving
The cherished gift of a promised land
