The special guest at this month’s Poetry Jam @ The Box in Richmond on Friday, 10^th September, is poet and art photographer Terry King. Terry believes that humour and beauty in both poetry and pictures, can be used to communicate a more serious message.

So far this year Terry has been working in Japan, Russia and the Ukraine, from which he has produced sequences of sonnets that are both funny and moving; poets and poetry at the September jam at the Tea Box will reflect this approach.

There will also be an open mic session where new voices are welcomed to perform alongside established poets. The doors open at 7.30pm and the poetry begins at 8pm.
