Advice on being a poet
If you like words
just write
read them to yourself in lonely hours of night
let ideas explode in your
brain
write everyday through the rain and melancholy
until you go temporarily insane
piss in the sink
every now
then.

Ahh the infamous B&B sink at 2am when it too cold to wander down a corridor and your too asleep to get dressed first.
Absolutely write... and keep on writing. There is something cathartic about letting it all spew out onto the page. From angry rant to deepest desires.

Some good advice here but being a female, it's not quite as easy than it is for a male to "piss in the sink."
I'd be interested to know though. Are you one of those rare male species who at least has the decency to pour some sweet scented detergent around the basin afterwards, then gently rinse it clean, so as not to scratch the protective surface?
As for me, i do enjoy writing in the sunlight too. Especially after a shower, when i can see a rainbow or two.

Hi Neil, I agree with you. I think we have to stay close to the pen wherever we go or else we'll lose our chance to capture the inspiration!
