Pretty little mermaid

With long flowing hair,

What could you tell me

About your life down there?

In your mermaid kingdom

At the bottom of the sea.

So much I would like to know!

Can you hear my plea?

Pretty little mermaid,

Sitting on the rocks,

Swishing your tail, gently,

As you comb your golden locks.

How I’d love to swim with you

To an underwater cave,

But I am not a mermaid,

So I am not that brave…
