blackpool

losing touch

and then wanting to catch

-up with those friends again

isn't really about

missing them

but about missing the person you were

however many years ago

/contact usually attempted

by the uncertainties of the present

so you seek reassurance

in

memories

when which isn't forthcoming

forces a reassessment of

the whole enterprise

/honesty impels admission

of narcissism

and resolution to

be more of a man

(whatever that means)

/my past

a city-centre regeneration scheme

built over, improved upon

a public - private partnership

initiative

but the map pre the bomb

is still the one

I follow

however much I know I shouldn't

however much I know it leads

to

   unsafe

             quarters

Excellent write, shows the truth if one does not keep in touch with friends then the loss is inevitable. Reality in life presented well with a little twist at the end of your poem.
