Gardening is hard Work

entry picture

snapdragons around the garden chase

the manic butterflies embrace

the warmth, the light, their endless day

below them vivid scents sashay

a gusting waft soars up then dips

that ordered plot is now eclipsed

as rough and coarse the wild hedge

hides villains twixt its rush and sedge

cultured cultiation lost

sky and horizon now accost

and gobble up that forced domain

which hands have as yet to detain

stupendous the resulting scene

trust nature's ability to preen

provide, arrange, present, portray

behold, all is yours, survey!

Hey John! My partner used to love to fart in the open air - but not indoors. But then he was very well brought up! ;-)

I am a super keen gardener and 'allotmenter' type personage. I love this poem, although the phrase 'a gusting waft soars up then dips'

would probably be more recognised by my wife. For some reason, I believe a man should be able to fart freely while gardening.

Call me old fashioned.

:-)

Lovely stuff.

Nature knows best! This is fun, like it.
